Alexander County Deputies Charge Man With Drug And Weapons Offenses

In the early morning of Monday, December 1, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that a reported stolen vehicle would possibly be making it’s way to a location in Alexander County. Following this information, Deputies canvassed the area in an effort to locate the stolen vehicle.

Officers successfully located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Icard Ridge Road. During the stop, officers identified the suspect as Ethan Trae Kistler, who was also found to have outstanding warrants out of Burke County.

As a result, Ethan Trae Kistler, age 26, of Hildebran, was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

▪ One felony count of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
▪ One felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine
. One felony count of Maintaining a Vehicle for use of Controlled Substance▪ One count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia️

▪ One count of Operating a Commercial Vehicle with No Operators License
▪ One count of Open Container Alcohol
▪ One felony count of Maintaining a Vehicle for use of Controlled Substance

Kistler is being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under no bond. He is scheduled for his first court appearance on December 8, 2025.
