Alexander County Deputies Charge Hiddenite Man

Justin Lee Pope, age 24, of Hill River RD., Hiddenite, was arrested Wednesday by Deputies with the Alexander County Sherif’s Office and charged with three-counts of assault on a female, crime of domestic violence, interfere with emergency communications and injury to real property. He is being held without bond in the County Detention Center.

Pope has previous charges from 2025 that are awaiting trial. The charges include felony assault with deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. In addition the suspect has 2024 charges pending for felony breaking and entering, larceny, injury to personal property and felony probation violation.
