Alexander County Deputies Arrest Suspect Listed On Sex-Offender Registry

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Yancey Obrian Tanner of East Main Ave., Taylorsville, on Thursday. He is charged with failure to register as sex-offender. The charge is related to online activity. A Felony probation charge was also filed. Tanner is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center.

Tanner is on the sex-offender registry based on a 2011 conviction in Georgia for statutory rape. He served 10 years in prison for the offense.
