Only one (1) new case of COVID-19 was reported on Tuesday in Alexander County according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. 4,401 cases have been counted since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to the Alexander County Health Department:
86 deaths since beginning of the pandemic (none since April 20th)
7 people were hospitalized as of 5pm Tuesday
27.3 percent of the county population has been fully vaccinated
