Alexander County’s COVID-19 case total is now at 151.
The Alexander County Health Department reports that 55 people are in quarantine with COVID-19. Two people in the hospital, 1 less than the last report. The county has reported 1 death. Ninety-three (93) people have fully recovered.
The state remains in the “Safer at Home” Phase 2 through July 17. The Governor’s executive order requires face coverings in public places, whether inside or outside, where physical distancing of six (6) feet is not possible. To help contain the spread of the coronavirus, the county encourages residents to abide by the mandate for face coverings when in public around other people. In addition, please continue to maintain social distance, wash your hands frequently, and avoid touching your face.
