Mr. and Mrs. Grinch, well maybe not, but an Alexander County couple has been charged with the theft of Christmas gifts.
74-year-old Dennis Leroy Downs and Pansy Miller Downs, age 64 of Taylorsville, were arrested on Monday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with larceny. The charges are related to some Christmas gifts being stolen from a residence. They’ve been released under bonds of $1,000 each and scheduled for court appearances on January 22nd.
