Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested two people and charged them with felony offenses on Monday.
33-year old Charlissa Noel Murphy of Hiddenite and 38-year old Robert John Britting of Hiddenite are both charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense and felony buy/sell/distribute food stamps. The charges involve the larceny of food stamps.
Both suspects were placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $5,000 secured bond each with court appearances schedule for Monday, November 13th in Alexander County District Court.
