The Alexander County Board of Elections will hold a meeting at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5th at The Alexander County Board of Elections office located at 370 1st Avenue SW Taylorsville, to conduct a hand recount in a random sample of precincts in the election for NC Supreme Court Associate Justice Seat 6. The partial hand-to-eye recount was requested by Republican Jefferson G. Griffin, who trails Democratic candidate Allison Riggs after the initial machine recount in that contest. Members of the public may attend the meeting, but space may be limited.
