Savanna Benbow
Benbow joined the coaching staff in 2021 and guided the volleyball team for the past three seasons and compiled and overall record of 28-31.
After announcing her resignation, Benbow commented “This was a tough decision to step away from coaching. I have enjoyed my time spent as Head Coach at Alexander Central and am thankful that I was trusted to lead the Volleyball program. With how fast time goes, I am excited to be able to be home with my two girls.”
ACHS Athletic Director Nathan Robinson shared his thoughts by saying “I would like to thank Coach Benbow for leading our volleyball program for the last three seasons. We are grateful for the knowledge she passed on to our players during her time as Head Coach and we wish her the best moving forward.”
Robinson also announced that current Assistant Coach Jenny Weems will serve as the interim Head Coach until a permanent coach is hired.
The search for a new Head Coach has begun and anybody interested is asked to please submit their resume/application to Nathan Robinson at nrobinson@alexander.k12.nc.us.
