Alexander Central Softball jumped from 5th to 2nd in the latest North Carolina High School Softball Poll from highschoolot.com.
During the course of a four-day period last week, the Lady Cougars knocked off a pair of unbeatens in South Caldwell (ranked #1) and East Rowan then they beat a 10-2 Hibriten team for good measure.
The poll ranks teams from across the stae regardless of classification.
