Taylorsville: The Lady Cougars opened the 2025 season with a win over Foard on Wednesday.
The visitors from Catawba County plated a run in the top of the first but AC scored 2 runs in the bottom half of the inning and added 3 in the second and 2 more in the third.
Laney Wike gave up only 4 hits and struck-out 12 for ACHS. Alivia Smith and Kayleigh Porter both had a pair of hits and a run-batted-in. Kyla Hamby, Kensley Davis and Jenna Mason also knocked-in runs for the Lady Cougars.
