Alexander Central has earned a wild card spot in the North Carolina 3AA football playoffs. The Cougars are seeded 7th in the west bracket and will travel to number two Winston Salem Mt Tabor. The Spartans enter the game at 7-0 and champions of the Piedmont Triad 3A Conference. Alexander Central is 5-2 after starting the season 0-2.
