The Alexander Central Competition cheer team won the NCCCA State Championship for large nontumble D1 game day. Topsail and Tuscola High Schools placed 2nd and 3rd.
This makes 3 years in a row of bringing home the State Championship for ACHS. This team also placed 1st at the NCHSAA State Invitational.
The squad will travel to Orlando, Florida to the National High School Cheerleading Championship this week. They will be competing in the Super Varsity Non-Tumbling DII Gameday division. Last year the team placed 7th in the nation. They will be going up against teams from across the country.
