Waxhaw: Alexander Central added another chapter to their surprising playoff run with a win over Marvin Ridge Thursday night. The game had been postponed both Tuesday and Wednesday due to rain.
AC scored three times in the opening inning and added another in the second.
Grayson Anderson threw a gem, going the distance while scattering 6 hits and allowing an unearned run.
Sawyer Chapman-Mays scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Drew Chapman, Tyler Kerley and Grham Hoke had runs-batted-in.
