Alexander Central And South Caldwell Split Games Thursday Evening

It was a rout for the Lady Cougars Thursday night in Taylorsville. South Caldwell trailed 23-10 after the first quarter and never led the game. Julianna Walter led ACHS with 20 points. Chesney Stikelether added 13 and Madeleine Jenkins had 10 along with 9 rebounds. The Lady Cougars improve to 2-1 in Northwestern Conference play and 14-2 overall.

Varsity Men

South Caldwell 56
Alexander Central 55

The Spartans upset the Cougars jumping out to a 16-8 lead after the opening period. ACHS trailed by as many as 12 in the 3rd quarter but battled back to have the rally fall one-point short. Trey Ramsey paced South with 25 points. The Blue and Gold were led by Evan Presnell’s 16. South Caldwell improves to 2-1 in league play and 9-4 overall. The loss sinks the Cougars to 2-1 and 14-3.
