Alexander Central And Freedom Split Games Tuesday Night In Morganton

Alexander Central 64 Freedom 30

Morganton: The Lady Cougars to a win Tuesday night. Meredith Wike had 16 points and Malayah Adams 11. AC was up 15-5 after a quarter and 30-10 at intermission, they never tailed. The win improves Alexander Central to 15-2 and 3-1 in the Northwestern Conference. Ava Cooke paced Freedom (8-9 and 2-2) with 18 points.

Varsity Men

Freedom 77 Alexander Central 51

In a game for the conference lead, Freedom prevailed and dominated in the paint outscoring Alexander Central 48-16. AC suffered an off-shooting night going 4 of 21 from behind the three-point-line. Kade Flowers led the Cougars with 18 points and Noah VanBeurden contributed 15. King Johnson was tops for the Patriots scoring 23 points. Freedom is 13-3 and 4-0 and atop the conference standings at 4-0. ACHS drops to 11-6 and 3-1.
