
Dustin Kerley accepts the Athletic Director Of The Year Award from NC High School Athletic Association Director Que Tucker
The Dave Harris Athletic Director Award of the Year is given in memory of Dave Harris, the former system Athletic Director for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
Kerley is a Taylorsville native and Alexander Central graduate. He earned his physical education degree from Mars Hill College, where he was a dedicated member of the baseball program. Furthering his education, he obtained his master’s in school administration from Western Carolina University in 2016.
Dustin’s coaching journey began at A.C. Reynolds High School, where he served as an assistant coach in football and baseball, contributing to a 4A state championship in 2009. Since 2010, he has been shaping young athletes at Watauga High School as an assistant coach in both football and baseball, currently serving as the defensive coordinator in football.
