Authorities from the N.C. Dept. of Public Safety are asking for the public’s help in finding a juvenile who has gone missing from the state’s juvenile justice system. The juvenile, identified only as John C., failed to return after a home visit with his family in Lincoln County Sunday (December 16).
John C. had been committed to the custody of the Division of Adult Correction & Juvenile Justice. He had been placed in the Chatham Youth Development Center. The division has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the search and investigation. Anyone with information regarding the juvenile’s whereabouts should contact local law enforcement.
