Felony Drug Charge Filed Against Taylorsville Man

Joseph Carroll Matthews, age 45 of Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Friday, November 20th in Alexander County. He was charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with license revoked. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured of $20,000.

Matthews has a previous charge pending in Alexander County for felony possession of methamphetamine.
