Russell Gene Williams, age 36 of Taylorsville was arrested Sunday. He was served an arrest warrant for failure to appear. The charges date back to May when Williams was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. Williams is a felon based on a 2008 conviction in Wilkes County for felony larceny. Williams is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $60,000. His next court date is August 7th in Taylorsville.
