Larry Donnell Harris
In a press release, North Wilkesboro Police Chief Brad Mathis stated that Larry Donnell Harris, age 74, was charged with four counts of felony trafficking cocaine by possession and distribution, two felony counts of selling cocaine and two felony counts of possessing cocaine with intent to sell or deliver.
Harris is being held on a $250,000 bond in the Wilkes County Jail.
The investigation, conducted by the Blue Ridge Counter-Narcotics Task Force, resulted in the seizure of approximately 80 grams of crack cocaine that authorities said was directly sold by Harris. The task force is led by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and includes narcotics detectives and investigators from the North Wilkesboro Police Department, Ashe County Sheriff’s Office, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and Boone Police Department.
The North Wilkesboro Police Department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit obtained warrants for Harris’ arrest.
