Alexander Central broke a 1-1 in the 3rd inning when they scored 3 runs to defeat St Stephens on Wednesday in Hickory.
Faith Carrigan got the win allowing only a pair of hits and striking-out 11, she is now 4-1 on the season. Ava Chapman had two hits and a run batted in for ACHS. Faith Carrigan went 1-3 with two rbi.
The win improves the Lady Cougars to 7-1 overall and 6-1 in Northwestern Conference play.
