Hiddenite Man Charged With Assault

The Taylorsville Police Department has charged a Hiddentite man with numerous offenses in reference to a domestic situation at a local restaurant.

33 year old Steven Lawrence Hancock was taken into custody on February 22nd at the Mexico Viejo Restaurant after a call regarding a male customer assaulting a female. Hancock was charged with assault on a female, communicating threats, intoxicated and disruptive, and resisting a public officer. Due to the domestic nature of the incident, Hancock was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.
