Joshua Stephen Moriarity
35-year-old Joshua Stephen Moriarity of Morganton was arrested in Wake County on an outstanding warrant charging him with felony failure to report a new address as a registered sex offender. The charge was filed in Burke County.
Moriarity was located in Wake County on August 7th and served with the outstanding warrant. He was ordered held without bond and has been transferred to custody in Burke County.
According to the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry, Moriarity is a convicted sex offender as a result of chaarges in Seneca County, NY for second-degree sexual abuse. He was convicted in 2013, the crime occurred in 2012. He was released from prison in July.
