Taylorsville Couple Facing Felony Charges In Lincoln County

A Taylorsville couple has been charged with a series of crimes in Lincoln County.

On Sunday, July 26th Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office served Lincoln County warrants against 43-year-old Joshua Scott Simpson of Jay Burke RD., Taylorsville.

The following charges have been filed

Felony first-degree burglary
Felony Larceny
Felony conspiracy
Felony possession of stolen goods
Misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon

Arrest reports that Simpson broke-into an occupied Lincolnton home, stole items and assaulted the resident with a baseball bat.

Simpson has larceny charges pending in Alexander County.

Nicole Renee Simpson, age 42, of the same Taylorsville address, was taken into custody by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. She’s charged with

As of this report, the suspect is being held in the Lincoln County Detention Center with a secured bond listed for $100,000
