Newton Police Officers arrested 51-year-old Michael Lloyd Baker of Newton on Wednesday. The charges include common law robbery and felony conspiracy. Arrest documents indicate that Baker allegedly conspired with a female to steal items from another female. Baker has been detained in the Catawba County Jail under $150,000 bond. A Thursday District Court date was scheduled.
