On Sunday, a Taylorsville Police Officer was on routine patrol through the local WalMart parking lot. A female challenged the officer to an arm wrestling match. The offer to arm wrestle was declined by the officer but it did create suspicion that perhaps the female was significantly impaired. The female was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and other drugs as well as drug paraphernalia.
36 year old Jessica Maureen Bridges 36 of Statesville was taken to the Alexander County Detention Center. Bridges was found to have three outstanding felony indictments from Catawba County on charges of selling meth. She also had an outstanding warrant from Iredell County for assault. Bridges is being held on a secured bond of $73,000 according to a release from Taylorsville Police.
