The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of two Hickory men following an attempted burglary at a Bethlehem residence.
Officers were called to a home early Wednesday evening after a call reported a breaking and entering in progress on Hahn Point Drive. Deputies found one man outside the residence loading stolen property into a vehicle. The other suspect was arrested in the home according to a release.
Charged are Russell David Blinson age 38 and 36 year old Joel Earnest Lackey. Both subjects are charged with breaking entering and larceny as well as possession of burglary tools. Blinson and Lackey were placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $20,000 secured bond each. The duo will have an initial court appearance on the charges Monday February 6th, in Taylorsville.
The release indicates that the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible
