Taylorsville Police have arrested three people following a foiled attempt to commit a larceny.
On Tuesday officers responded to a call from Hancock and Moore Furniture Company on Matheson Park Drive. An employee had grown suspicious after a man identifying himself as an employee of a vending machine company had arrived. The man attempted to unlock a number of machines without success and left. The employee suspected something was amiss and called Police.
A vehicle matching the description of the man’s was spotted by officers and stopped. The man who had entered the business was identified and arrested.
48 year old Steve Randall Lowman of Lenoir was charged with breaking and entering a coin machine. The driver of the vehicle, 42 year old Andrew Charles Beane of Valdese was charged with aiding and abetting a larceny as well as operating a vehicle with an expired tag and inspection sticker. A passenger, identified as 33 year old Brandy Walsh Lowman was turned over to Hudson Police on an order for arrest on a charge of larceny. All three are suspected of being involved in similar crimes in Caldwell County.
