The Town of Taylorsville has released the following information regarding the changes in their trash collection and recycling programs:
There has been some confusion with the new trash program the town is starting with Republic Services. The key points citizens should know are:
Everyone’s trash schedule will remain the same as it always has been.
Recycling pickup will remain on Monday for everyone, but instead of every Monday,
it will be every other Monday. There was a calendar within the packet that came with the new containers that highlights the pickup days.
All trash and recyclables must be in the new rollouts beginning with the July 4th pick-up day in order for it to be collected. They will not pick up any trash in alternative cans or individual bags sitting at the curb.
Please be patient with the Town and Republic Services as we are implementing this new program. It takes time to deliver 3,000 rollouts to all of the citizens in Town. If for some reason you don’t have your rollouts by Monday, July 4th, place your trash and/or recyclables at the curb as you have in the past and the Republic Service drivers will pick it up and will make a note of your address as being missed. We appreciate the patience already shown and look forward to more streamlined and efficient solid waste services.
