Taylorsville Post 170’s American Legion Baseball Team is still perfect. Taylorville rallied for a 6-3 win over Burke County Tuesday night at Bob Gryder Stadium.
Burke County scored a run in the 4th and two in the 5th. They carried that 3-0 lead into the 7th inning when Taylorsville tallied a run. The floodgates opened in the 8th for Post 170 when they scored 5 times.
Tyler Campbell went a perfect 3 innings in relief to get the win, he didn’t allow a base runner. Campbell also had an run batted in. Kyler Fairchild, Daniel Dessecker, and Jeremy Hubbard also knocked in runs for Taylorsville.
Win the win, Taylorsville is now 8-0-1 on the season. It was announced Tuesday that Taylorsville was granted two forfeit wins when Haywood County folded their team.
Tonight, Post 170 will travel to Caldwell County. Taylorsville will host Henderson County in a double header Friday with first pitch at 5pm.
