Well boys and girls, Santa has again requested that the Taylorsville Police Department assist him in getting his letters from all the children in Alexander County!
When Santa came by the Taylorsville Police Department last week, he dropped off his mailbox and chose Officer Ethan Windsor and Officer Chasity Hamby to be his “elves” again this year. Santa said that both Officer Windsor and Hamby are two of the best elves he has ever had and that they were both on the Nice List. He actually asked Chief Dennis James to allow them to come to the North Pole and work for him! However, after the Chief discussed this with Town Manager David Odom, they told Santa we really needed to keep them because they both do an outstanding job (we are hoping that did not put the Chief or David Odom on the Naughty List)!
Santa’s mailbox will be located outside of the Taylorsville Town Hall from December 1, 2016 until January 2, 2016. Children (and children at heart) must drop off their letters for Santa by December 20th, in order to get his response (include your address) before Christmas and see if they received his Nice or Naughty List Certificate, as well as the goodies he sends! Letters placed in the mailbox after December 20th may not get a response, since Santa will be SO VERY BUSY! Once Christmas night is over and Santa gets a little rest, he will receive the letters placed in the mailbox after December 20th; he appreciates thank you letters almost as much as cookies!
Additionally, children can email Santa, Mrs. Claus, his elves, or the reindeer at email@example.com.
Finally, if you see either of our Taylorsville Police Department officers and elves, tell them thank you for doing such an amazing job for Santa and the people of Taylorsville! It may get you on Santa’s Nice List!
