Taylorsville Police announce the arrest of a man and a woman both charged on felony drug counts.
On Thursday, March 30th officers detained a man on suspicion he had trespassed at the local Walmart store. After receiving permission to search his vehicle, 2.5 grams of methamphetamine was found.
Taken into custody was 43 year old Robert James Salyards of Claremont. Salyards is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing. The trespassing charge is the result of Salyards being banned from the local Walmart due to a previous incident.
Also arrested was 25 year old Kasey Marie West of Lincolnton. West is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. West was also detained in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $5,000 secure bond.
Both Salyards and West made initial count appearances Monday, April 3rd.
