A Taylorsville man being held in the Alexander County Detention Center on Drug counts has been charged with possession while in custody. Taylorsville Police on Saturday February 13th, charged 45 year old Timothy James Ferguson after drugs were found in his cell. Ferguson is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance on Jail premises, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Marijuana. He remains behind bars on a bond of $40,000 secured. According to a spokesperson with the Alexander County Sheriffs Office, Ferguson is awaiting processing to serve a sentence with the North Carolina Department of Corrections following a recent drug conviction.
