Alexander County Sheriff Deputies responded to an Alarm at 180 Pine Tree Road, Taylorsville Sunday Evening shortly before 9pm. Upon arrival Officers found Curtis John Oliver age 28 of Taylorsville had broken into the home and was hiding near the back porch. Oliver was taken into custody at the scene.
Numerous stolen items were found in Oliver’s pockets. Deputies had been to the same residence earlier in the evening when another Breaking and Entering had been reported. It is believed that Oliver was responsible for both. Oliver was charged with Breaking Entering and Larceny, Second degree Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools. His bond was set at $60,000.00. He has a first appearance June 27, 2016. The investigation is continuing and further charges are possible.
