34-year-old Manila Cha of Connelly Springs, 47-year-old Nancy Cha of Valdese, 41-year-old Yua Staci Cha of Drexel, 46-year-old Bounpheng Luanglath of Drexel, 47-year-old Linthong Lin Phimmachak of Drexel, 48-year-old Paulina Thao of Albemarle, and 25-year-old Linda Vang of Stanley, were all arrested Wednesday (March 21) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. They’re all charged with felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling or place for controlled substances.
On Wednesday, Burke County Sheriff Office Investigators, assisted by Burke County SWAT, executed a search warrant at 104 Hollar Street in Drexel. Investigators had received information that the occupants of the residence had engaged in the distribution of a large quantity of methamphetamine in close proximity to Drexel Elementary School. During the search, investigators located a large quantity of meth, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency, all inside the home.
All seven suspects were detained in the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under $500,000 secured bond apiece.
