A Taylorsville man is facing charges after his arrest by Taylorsville Police.
On March 3rd Taylorsville Officers responded to a report of items being stolen from the local WalMart Store. Officer R.W. Taylor arrived on the scene and located a subject in the parking lot with a buggy containing numerous items. Taylor asked the subject if he had a receipt for the goods, the man responded by saying “No, Jesus bought this stuff for me.” The subject after being asked if he had any weapons responded by taking off his jacket and shirt and shouting “Search me, Search me.”
The man resisted Officer Taylor and a struggle ensued as other officers arrived. Eventually the man was tased by Officer J.W. Lackey according to the arrest report.
25 year old Brandon Lee Brown of Lewittes Road in Taylorsville is charged with larceny, injury to property, resisting a public officer, and assault on a government employee. Brown was placed in the Aexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $4,500. Brown has a court date set for April 24th .
