Keon Rashawn Harrison, 28, of Hickory, was charged with one felony count of larceny, one misdemeanor count of assault with a deadly weapon and one misdemeanor count of assault with a deadly weapon while minors present.
The incident began in Taylorsville on June 21st when the suspect allegedly struck the victim with the butt of a shotgun.
From Taylorsville, the suspect and victim drove with the victim’s two children to Viewmont Self Storage on 21st Avenue NE. There, the suspect pushed the victim out of the car and drove off with the children.
The victim did not require medical treatment. The children, a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old, were uninjured.
Harrison is held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Center.
