Clary has been held under a $250,000 bond and indications are he may soon meet the requirements for his bond release. A judge had previously set several stipulations including house arrest and wearing a monitoring device.
The weapon used in the shooting was a muzzle loading rifle according to investigators with the Alexander County Sheriffs Office. The two men had entered into some sort of disagreement and Harold had gone to Clary’s home during the afternoon of April 11. Harold was armed with a pipe but the men were at least 50 feet apart when the fatal shooting occurred. Clary is also charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The next court date for Clary’s murder charge has yet to be announced.
