A father and son are in the hospital after a head-on collision with a vehicle driven by the man’s wife and child’s mother on N.C. Highway 126 in Burke County overnight.
Roger Dwayne Harrison, 44, of Morganton, and his 7 -year-old son were sent to a hospital with minor injuries after they were hit head on by Amber Dawn Harrison, 35, of Glen Alpine, according to Sgt. Ben Sanders with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Amber is the mother of the child and the wife of Roger, Sanders said.
Roger Harrison was driving a Chevrolet S10 truck southeast on N.C. 126 with his son and Amber was coming in the opposite direction in a burgundy Nissan when she drove left of center and struck him.
Once the wreck occurred, there was a verbal argument between the two, but they were separated by the time he arrived, Sanders said.
