Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at
the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center with
“Irish Done Right!”
Featuring entertainment by Erin Tide Band and St. Joseph’s Irish Dancers
St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the time-honored traditions of Irish music, dance, food, and fellowship. The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s annual “Irish Done Right!” will offer all of these traditions at their best.
Held on St. Patrick’s Day, Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Educational Complex, located at 70 Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County, this special event offers a traditional Irish meal, live performances of Celtic music from Erin Tide Band, St. Joseph’s Irish Dancers, and of course the “wearin’ of the green!”
Dinner will begin at 7:00pm with performances to follow. This event is affordably priced at only $16 per person with dinner, performance, and tax included. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Center at (828) 632-6966.
Guests will marvel at the fast paced, skillful dance steps of Catawba County’s own, St. Joseph’s Irish Dancers. This talented dance troupe is comprised of students from the unifour area, ranging from elementary to high school age.
The dancers will perform to a unique blend of Celtic music from the renowned Iredell County ensemble, “Erin Tide Band.” The members of Erin Tide Band regularly travel to Ireland to experience and research authentic Celtic music as they continually develop their skill with attention to accurate interpretation of Celtic traditions.
Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center events, exhibits, and programs are made possible in part through the generous funding of Alexander County government, the Town of Taylorsville, the Eileen and R. Y. Sharpe Family Foundation, The Winston Salem Foundation, Duke Energy, the Catawba Valley Community Foundation, the Friends of the Center membership program, and by the Grassroots Grant of the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Lucas Mansion and Educational Complex are wheelchair accessible.
