A vehicle and a dog stolen earlier in the week in Bethlehem have been found. The dog is alive and will be returned to the owner. The vehicle is said to have considerable damage. According to the Alexander County Sheriffs Office the vehicle was found in Burke County today. At least one suspect is in custody but no names or other details are available at this time.

The Alexander County Sheriffs Office is asking for the public’s assistance regarding a stolen vehicle and dog.
Around 6:20 pm Wednesday a woman stopped at the Dollar General Store off Highway 127 in Bethlehem. She parked in front of the store with the engine running and air conditioning on. Her white Shih Tzu dog was left in the vehicle.
Two white males entered the store and quickly exited and entered the parked vehicle and drove away. The only description of the suspects are white males, mid 20’s, slim build. The vehicle stolen was a 2009 Nissan Cube, black in color.
