The Alexander County Sheriffs Office has released the following information with regards to a shooting this weekend in Alexander County.
On Friday, July 30, 2016 at approximately 8:38 PM, Alexander County Communications received a call to a residence in the Wittenburg Community in reference to a shooting. Officers with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, Taylorsville Police Department, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and Wittenburg First Responders responded to the location off of Alspaugh Dam Road. Officers arrived at the residence of Destry Bolick and found Adrian Joe Bolick, W/M, age 25 with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder.
This incident stemmed from a domestic situation at the residence. The victim is the son of Mr. Destry Bolick. Bolick was transported to a local hospital by Alexander County EMS, where he remains at this time. Mr. Adrian Bolick was at the residence with a shotgun. Detectives met with the District Attorney on August 1, 2016 to review the case. At this time, no charges have been filed, although this is an ongoing investigation by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
