Kenneth Bolden, 36, left the Tyson Foods plant sometime Monday morning, state corrections officials said.
Bolden, who is from the Lexington area, is a minimum-security inmate assigned to the Wilkes Correctional Center. He was serving a 4-6 year sentence for being a habitual felon and was due to be released in March.
Bolden’s criminal history includes convictions on breaking and entering, larceny and drug charges.
Corrections officials said Bolden may be trying to travel to the Lexington area.
