Officers responded around 2:30 to The Taylorsville Presbyterian Church on 2nd Street SW after a report of a break in. Officers were quickly on the scene from both Taylorsville Police and The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. A man and a woman were located on the scene as was a vehicle with two televisions loaded in the trunk. The items had been stolen from the Church.
26 year old Adam Robert Jackson of Old Mountain Road in Hiddenite is charged with felony breaking and entering into a place of worship and felony larceny after breaking and entering. Jackson was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. He has a court appearance scheduled for Monday, March 20th.
Also charged is 46 year old Tonya Hoots Wheeler of Galaxy Drive in Taylorville. Wheeler faces a felony count of conspiring to break and enter a building. She was placed in the County Detention Center with a secured bond of $7,500. Wheeler also has a Monday, March 20th court date.
