A man is dead found buried in a wooded area of the Ellendale Community of Alexander County. According to Sheriff Chris Bowman the body was partially buried under leaves and sticks at 6045 Highway 64-90 West of Taylorsville. A black male and a white female are in custody. The Alexander County Sheriffs Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle and responded to the location about 5 miles west of Taylorsville. The vehicle was spotted and the two suspects were detained. Ellendale Elementary School less than a mile away is on a soft lockdown at this time as a precaution. A helicopter is in the air and a K9 unit is working a wooded area near the crime scene. Sheriff Bowman says that it is possible that a 3rd suspect was involved and because of that the search is intense at this time….This story will updated as details develop
New Details….When deputies arrived on the scene a vehicle occupied by a woman and a man was stuck. Deputies found the body partially buried nearby. The suspect told reporters he choked his uncle to death in self defense and brought the body to Alexander County to dispose of it. It is believed the suspect is from the Charlotte area. The female taken into custody did not talk to reporters.
