The body of an unidentified man was found Saturday morning in the Jacob Fork River. The body appeared to be a Black man in his late 20s to early 30s.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office says the body was recovered from the water near Dorothy Court located off Robinson Road near Newton.
The investigation is ongoing.
