Some tense moments Wednesday morning at Alexander Central High School. A student was overheard to say there was a bomb on campus. School officials placed the campus on “code out” status. A “code out” is defined on The Alexander County Schools website as:
Code: CODE OUT
This code is used when administration deems a situation requires immediate evacuation of the facility. The code out could be issued for several reasons such as a fire drill or to evacuate the building.
Campus buildings were evacuated and students were assembled in the Football Stadium Taylorsville Police and The Alexander County Sheriffs Office conducted a search of the property and determined there was no device on campus and the all clear was given after about an hour.
